The PlayStation 5 update enhances the audio quality of the controller
The new PlayStation 5 controller update provides various audio improvements for the DualSense controller. In last month's release, Sony issued a new experimental update for invited users, aiming to enhance the audio quality of DualSense controllers among other features. Now, the company has announced that the mentioned update is available to all users.
In this update, controllers will enjoy increased sound output, along with improved microphone capabilities and noise cancellation. Game-related sounds and keystrokes are now muted thanks to the new AI-based machine learning model.
Additionally, this update introduces new screen sharing interactions to the controller, allowing viewers to guide the host by moving the cursor, tagging objects, and drawing lines. They can also respond to the host's image using different symbols. These features are enabled by default, but host players can disable them. Sony will also provide users with the ability to use Screen Share interactions in the PlayStation app this month.
Furthermore, players can adjust the brightness of their controller's external lights, making them dimmer or brighter.
