The outstanding sales of Resident Evil 4 Remake continue
Capcom announced in a new tweet that the Resident Evil 4 Remake has sold over seven million copies. Scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X in March 2023, with Xbox Series S and PC now among the latest game news, it has achieved a new sales record. Capcom stated that the Resident Evil 4 Remake has sold seven million copies, with 6.48 million copies sold as of December 31, 2023.
Sales of the Resident Evil 4 Remake increased with the release of the Gold Edition in February 2024. This edition includes the base game, the additional Separate Ways pack, and all post-release content such as the Mercenaries mode and additional DLC pack featuring costumes, filters, and accessories. This deluxe package also grants players two bonus weapons, the ability to choose the original soundtrack, and an in-game map to locate all treasures.
The Resident Evil 4 Remake is a new version of the 2005 Resident Evil 4 with updated visuals and mechanics. There are no quick-time events in this new release, and the new Lian's counter-attack mechanic allows players to deflect enemy attacks until the knife breaks. Other contents of this edition include auto-save, new enemy types, and side missions called Requests.
