Capcom announced the release date of Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin for PlayStation 4 along with a promotional trailer.
Capcom officially announced the enhanced version of Monster Hunter Stories in June 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. It's now revealed that the Japanese publisher has a special surprise for PlayStation 4 players and plans to release its sequel, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, simultaneously with the enhanced version of the original game.
According to the latest announcement video from Capcom, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, currently available on Nintendo Switch and PC, will come to PlayStation 4 on June 14, 2024. To mark this news, Capcom shared a brief gameplay trailer with the audience.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin introduces us to a character who wants to follow in the footsteps of their ancestors and ultimately become a great dragon rider. As the game's story unfolds, the main character finds a dragon egg, from which Razewing Ratha is born. Given that the threat of this dragon and its destruction has been mentioned several times in ancient myths, the player must care for this dragon against other riders in their adventure.
In their journey, the player can encounter various dragons and other monsters, including Nargakuga and Tigrex, and tame them to win battles. These monsters can produce hybrid eggs to produce unique races for the player to use their power in strategic battles and role-playing combat.
